HeartCast 2025 HealthKit Permissions - Lions, And Tigers, and Bears oh-my-healthkit

If you're experiencing issues with HeartCast, please ensure that your HealthKit permissions are set correctly. We've introduced new HeartCast capabilities that require new HealthKit permissions, and some users will need to double-check their existing permissions. We have a beta release under review that improves the detection and handling of out-of-date permissions, alerting users to missing permissions. In the meantime, please review your permissions. Refer to the image below, and please turn that Workouts toggle to green!

iPhone iOS 17+:

• Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → HeartCast

iPhone iOS 16 and earlier, and Apple WatchOS:

• Settings → Health → Apps → HeartCast

You're in control of YOUR data. HeartCast creates a workout to monitor your heart rate. You can choose to save or discard your workouts after each workout or in User Preferences. Options: "Always Save", "Never save", and "Ask me".
